Base 48

In base 48, each digit position represents a power of 48: the rightmost digit counts individual ones, the next counts groups of 48, the next counts groups of 48×48, and so on — the same place-value idea as base 10, just with 48 distinct digits instead of ten.

Base 37

Base 37 works the same way: the rightmost digit counts ones, the next counts groups of 37, the next counts groups of 37×37, and so on, using 37 distinct digits.
